How to stay calm in any situation — A life hack to ‘Never let ’em see you sweat’

Have you ever met those people who can deal with any situation and remain calm the entire time? In a situation where most people would freak out, they find this inner calmness and bring it to light.

There is a trick that is really like a hack in the matrix. A trick which puts us in control of any situation.

When we let our emotions get the best of us, we can say things we don’t mean, do things we regret and sometimes even embarrass or humiliate ourselves. We’re human and it’s part of life and part of learning.

As we get older, we become wiser. Some of us become very wise and some of us never learn the trick that I’m about to tell you about.

Here we go. Get ready to be in control of every situation in your life that arises no matter how much anxiety that it would give you before reading this.

I would hope that all of us have had some great memories. Maybe it’s from your childhood at your grandparent’s house when the world seemed right. Maybe it was when you accomplished something huge. Maybe you didn’t have all the answers at the time, but you knew that everything was going to be ok.

Pick a memory where you were your happiest, calmest, most serene, and most secure. Sit back for a few minutes in a quiet place and go back to that memory. Spend some time in your mind in that point in our life. You’re going to think kind of like a freeze frame where time was frozen.

If you can’t think of a good memory, sit back, and close your eyes and make one up. It could be on a beach somewhere. It could be on top of a mountain overlooking a town somewhere or anywhere else that you choose. It’s your memory and it’s your place of calmness that you’ll now be frequently visiting in your mind.

Think about what and who you saw in that memory or calm place in your mind. How did you feel? Get detailed even down to the smell. How calm are you now at this point, even thinking about it? It’s almost like a meditation, huh? The feeling should come with a calmness and a sense of grounding.

We don’t have to always instantly react when a situation arises that scares us or that we don’t agree with. It becomes a habit for a lot of us to instantly react to adversity negatively because we learn how to cope how we learn how to cope. There’s no instruction book that lays this out for us.

Practice going back to this memory several times a day, even when things are calm and good.

Grab the happy, secure feeling from that memory.

Put it in to practice during all stressful situations. Before reacting to something negative, count to 10, slowly in your mind and go to that place in your mind.

This puts you in control of any situation and makes it to where you can handle anything that is thrown at you. It grounds you in a sense and can make you untouchable emotionally.

It takes practice, but implement this in your life and see how much better you handle situations which used to.

We are ultimately responsible for everything that we say and do while we are on this earth. Make it count. They say to “Never let em’ see you sweat.” Put what I just shared with you into practice, and they never will. Watch what happens when you master this Jedi mind trick.
